Signal Safety Improvements for NCDOT Division 3

Exult Engineering was selected by NCDOT Division 3 through the NCDOT Eastern Division On-Call to upgrade multiple intersections with a history of traffic and pedestrian crashes. These safety-focused projects involved adding sidewalk and trail extensions, upgrading or installing ADA curb ramps, improving pedestrian signalization, upgrading to high-visibility crosswalk markings, and modifying or installing new traffic signals.

The projects were combined into a single bid package to expedite these critical safety improvements. Exult Engineering handled the entire scope in-house, providing roadway and sidewalk plans, transportation management, pavement marking and signing, erosion control, utility coordination, ITS communication, signal design, and contract documentation. NCDOT managed survey and right-of-way acquisition in-house.
